Like so many essential healthcare professionals across the country and globe, Olson’s day-to-day now includes PPE shortages, visitation restrictions and fear of transmission, among other serious concerns.
As Olson says, "It’s really hard for the family members, not being able to be there with their loved ones in the hospital. That’s why one of my biggest things is making sure the families are in the loop of what’s going on with the patient. … It really puts the families at ease when you talk to them."
